Joy in the Journey

My first ever animation project, illustrated on Procreate and animated on Procreate Dreams. Created with the aim to encapsulate my personal narrative of emotional recovery achieved through travelling throughout the different seasons of the year, hinting at the slow and cyclical nature of healing.

The first animation represents winter, rain falls over the scene as a plum coloured Ford Fiesta (Suzie, my first car) drives slowly searching for a parking space on my old road in Bristol, Bedminster. The second animation shows a silver Izuzu truck blissfully coasting along the open road with a vibrant spring time backdrop of Northern Norway. The third animation features a robust RV bounding through the Californian desert. And the final shows a bright orange Volkswagon Transporter making its way through an autumnal woodland in the UK.
