Last night I was warmly welcomed to Battersea Arts Centre to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the National Trust site 575 Wandsworth Road and on National Poetry Day!
I finally got to meet some of the creatives behind the Ujamaa project, hear some of the poems read in person, (as covid previously prevented this back in 2021 when this project was born), and talk as part of a panel about how the site inspired us and our work. It was such an incredibly evening and
another recent moment of many at the moment where I’m so unbelievably grateful for the career I’ve made for myself and the amazing opportunities it comes with! A huge thank you to Writerz & Scribz.
All the works from the project will be up for the next week, so if you’re around South London, make sure you check out this amazing creative space!
New Products! Fruity prints and bookmarks now in store 🍏🍌🍓
New products! 🍏🍐🥝🥭🍌🍋🍊🍓🫐🍒🍍Introducing these new fruity pattern prints to brighten up this rainy afternoon!
If you’ve been following my work for a while you might recognise these illustrations… I actually made them back in the start of 2021. I’ve always really liked them, but totally forgot that they existed until recently, and wanted to bring them back to life 🌞
Square prints felt more fitting for these designs, so I’ve made them available in two sizes 12”x12” and 8”x8”. (Easiest to print and frame) 🖼️
Whenever making square prints, it bothered me that I create a lot of unnecessary waste… to prevent this, I’ve repurposed the offcuts that I get from printing on to A4 and A3 paper, into bookmarks and cute thank you cards! 🔖
Square prints are also now included in the ‘buy 2 get the 3rd half price’ deal, so you can nab the whole collection from £30! 🧡🧡🧡
Digital Design Weekend
This weekend just gone I had the absolute pleasure of attending and exhibiting in the Victoria and Albert Museum for The Digital Design Weekend 2023!
I’ve been attending different exhibitions at the V&A for as long as I can remember, so to say I exhibited an illustration there is a HUGE achievement ticket off the bucket list! I’m super grateful to PETRA’s and the Electric Feels team for commissioning me to respond to research exploring human dimensions of digital energy transformation, AKA how the future of energy make us feel. I responded with an immersive single page illustrated narrative printed in A0! The image was seen by hindred of people who passed through the doors of the V&A. They also engaged in a bunch of different interactive activities we had prepared including making creative smart objects and drawing tarots cards to represent their own moods towards the future of energy.
It was also amazing to see the other brilliant digital design projects hosted across the weekend.
Big thank you to PETRAS for making this opportunity a reality and to all my friends and family who travelled in to see it and support too! 💙💙💙
