Whitstable Beach - Another bespoke commission

Another super enjoyable bespoke piece, commissioned by Daisy for her friend’s birthday. As always, I love doing personal illustrations like this, hearing the stories behind the work always make them a joy to do!

Elle Decoration - The Parent Trap

Another recent editorial illustration that I absolutely loved! This one’s for Elle Decoration magazine alongside an article titled ‘The Parent Trap’ navigating the chaos of decorating children’s rooms.

Drawing busy spaces with lots of detail is my absolute favourite, so I was incredibly happy when I was told this brief! The client also suggested featuring a cat, and I just couldn’t help myself by featuring my own, so here she is enjoying her spotlight! 🐈

In the May issue available to buy in stores now 🌻

NEW PRODUCT!

It’s been a goal of mine for quite a while to add more to my shop, specifically more physical products rather than just prints, to create some variety and hopefully attract some new customers… So I finally bit the bullet and got my old Nike Trainer pattern printed on a small batch of canvas tote bags, and I’m super happy with how they’ve turned out!

These are now available on my online shop, as well as Etsy and I will also be selling them at a few Spring markets! So if you’re Bristol based I’ll be selling these at the M32 Flea Market on the 30th April, Creators Market Bristol at Strange Brew on 7th May, or you can pick up one in store at Paper Plane from next week! ✈️

The Big Issue - This Woman's Work

New piece of work in last week’s The Big Issue, exploring a book of essays on empowering women in music - This Woman’s Work

Annoyingly I missed grabbing myself a copy as I was away but really enjoyed working on this brief as it’s right up my street!

From top left to bottom right we have Zakia Sewell, Lhasa de Sela, Laurie Anderson, Ella Fitzgerald, Yoshimi Yokota, Linda Sharrock, Kate Bush, Wanda Jackson and Wendy Carlos. Just a few of the amazing names mentioned in the text. I wanted to be sure to include a variety of ages, ethnicities, genres and instruments! 🧡
