NEW PRODUCT!

It’s been a goal of mine for quite a while to add more to my shop, specifically more physical products rather than just prints, to create some variety and hopefully attract some new customers… So I finally bit the bullet and got my old Nike Trainer pattern printed on a small batch of canvas tote bags, and I’m super happy with how they’ve turned out!

These are now available on my online shop, as well as Etsy and I will also be selling them at a few Spring markets! So if you’re Bristol based I’ll be selling these at the M32 Flea Market on the 30th April, Creators Market Bristol at Strange Brew on 7th May, or you can pick up one in store at Paper Plane from next week! ✈️

The Big Issue - This Woman's Work

New piece of work in last week’s The Big Issue, exploring a book of essays on empowering women in music - This Woman’s Work

Annoyingly I missed grabbing myself a copy as I was away but really enjoyed working on this brief as it’s right up my street!

From top left to bottom right we have Zakia Sewell, Lhasa de Sela, Laurie Anderson, Ella Fitzgerald, Yoshimi Yokota, Linda Sharrock, Kate Bush, Wanda Jackson and Wendy Carlos. Just a few of the amazing names mentioned in the text. I wanted to be sure to include a variety of ages, ethnicities, genres and instruments! 🧡

Paraorchestra - SMOOSH!

Been super absent on the socials in the last few months despite being probably the busiest I’ve ever been with my freelance illustration work. But I’m going to do a bit of catch up this week with sharing some of my recent projects and try keep up this momentum as I’m incredibly grateful for commissions and opportunities I’ve been presented with since the start of 2022!

Starting with a reportage illustration of Paraorchestra’s performance SMOOSH! On the streets of Knowle West last summer. It was such a fun and inspiring event to attend, I had to attempt to capture some of the magic in an illustration.

Paraorchestra is a collective of disabled dancers, artists, musicians and performers as part of Creative Youth Network. Learn more about their work here!
